Kate Beckinsale

English actress Kate Beckinsale has been in the news recently because she was amused by her daughters reaction to BOTOXED women in Hollywood - she compare them to Harry Potter baddies lol!

Her daughter is only 8 years old, and yet she can recognise Botox treatment on the locals, in the town where they live in Los Angeles.

Kate Beckinsale said "This is what's sick about living in LA. My eight year old daughter will point to a woman and say 'Look! That woman's had too much Botox!'" She then goes on to compare them to Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter!

Kate has recently told Glamour Magazine that she thinks it's dangerous for people, even famous faces, to aspire to be like images seen from Hollywood and the movies. She says 'Everybody is retouched, stretched, lengthened, slimmed and trimmed.'

She said, to Glamour magazine, "The only reason I ever brought it up in the first place is because I was young. I read a lot of misinformation about eating disorders. But, because I picked the wrong magazine to tell my story to, I wished I'd never said anything. It was totally sensationalised and that's been a real drag. I felt terribly violated."

She continues "I believe anorexia, alcoholism and drug abuse in teens are more about what is happening in the home than a problem with images in the media. Its the nice girls way of becoming a crack whore. It means they're in some kind of pain that needs to be addressed.

Kate Beckinsale was born in London, England on July 26th, 1973. Orignally an 'English Actress' she has been in Hollywood blockbusters such as Pearl Harbour, Serendipity, Underworld, Van Helsing and The Avaiator.

To add to these, Kate Beckinsale might be stepping into the sexy boots of cult 60s heroine Barbarella in a remake of the hit film
